Canalys Newsroom - Leading security distributors join inaugural Canalys Cybersecurity Forum

Prominent distributors in the cybersecurity channel have added their support to a new EMEA event from leading industry analyst firm Canalys. Three of the region’s top cybersecurity distributors – Infinigate, Nuvias and Tech Data – have come onboard as launch partners, recognizing the need for an event dedicated to the fast-growing cybersecurity channel.

The Canalys Cybersecurity Forum (CSF) is focused on growth opportunities for the cybersecurity channel and will play host to hundreds of the region’s leading specialist cybersecurity partners. CSF is EMEA’s only independent event dedicated to the cybersecurity channel.

CSF will take place from 16 to 17 October in Barcelona. With around 300 channel partner delegates, networking will be at the forefront of the event, allowing senior decision-makers from vendors, distributors and channel organizations to connect in a focused environment.

Infinigate, a pan-European distributor with a cybersecurity specialization, has confirmed its participation. Adding his company’s support for the event, Klaus Schlichtherle, CEO of Infinigate, said, “We’re looking forward to enhancing our vendor, partner and customer relationships at the new Canalys Cybersecurity Forum. The agenda will use the knowledge and independent analytical content provided by Canalys analysts in its Cybersecurity Analysis service. Canalys data shows that the EMEA cybersecurity market grew 10.5% in 2018, driven by a 15% growth in network security, pushed by a refresh cycle and the need to secure hybrid-IT environments. “There is significant change in the market as to the role of the channel. This is driven by changing customer buying behavior with cloud adoption and new subscription and consumption models,” said Canalys Principal Analyst Matthew Ball. “Understanding the speed of this transition is critical, as is the support from vendors and the strategies needed to adapt.”
