Canalys Forums 2023: NAM Channel Partner of the Year Awards 2023

The inaugural Canalys Forums North America was complemented by the eagerly anticipated first North America Candefero Channel Partner of the Year Awards. These awards highlight partners who proved their distinction in the North American channel in innovation and sustainability as well as recognizing the Overall Channel Partner of the Year. For the very first time in the North American market, here are the winners and their achievements to showcase what they have done to separate themselves from their competition.

NAM Overall Channel Partner of the Year 2023: Trace3

Having set out to double its size as part of a five-year plan that began in 2021, Trace3 has been growing in strength. Already generating US$2.5 billion in total revenue, the technology consultancy has not only acquired 300+ new clients but two companies as well (LaSalle Solutions and Set Solutions). Trace3’s main focus has been on expanding its services capabilities to aid its clients in modernizing their IT environments with an emphasis on emerging technologies and data analytics.

CTO Tony Ozlak highlighted this approach, stating: "Trace3 believes that all possibility lies in technologies. We do that by underpinning everything in innovation to help our clients achieve the impossible. We have converged our groups across three major areas of data, cloud and cyber which has driven our growth and this is the key to our growth over the past year."

NAM Innovation Partner of the Year 2023: 22Vets

22Vets Technologies is owned and operated by Military Veterans with a focus on managed IT, cyber, physical and identity management security services. Following a suicide in a local school community, 22Vets worked with the local school district to create "StudentFirst Security", a program that integrates cyber, physical and wellness security for students. 22Vets hosted their first StudentFirst Security event in October 2023 and hosted 60+ local Illinois school districts. ​

President Rob Purcell said: "22Vets was created as a mission-focused company to end the 22 veteran lives lost each day to suicide. We then moved on to our Student First security ecosystem that focused on cyber, physical and social wellness solutions for K-12 and higher education institutions. We would like to thank Canalys for awarding us the 2023 North America Innovation Partner of the Year award."

NAM Sustainability Partner of the Year 2023: Sycomp

Sycomp has embraced environmental and social sustainability within its own organization and beyond. Its lifecycle managed services, comprehensive ESG reporting and 1.5°C decarbonization goal, which is validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative, demonstrate Sycomp’s commitment to sustainability. Moreover, Sycomp has a global workforce of 40% women and participates in the Salesforce Historically Black Colleges and Universities Procurement Internship Program.

Neal Callahan, COO at Sycomp, said: “Back in 2021 Sycomp made the decision to invest aggressively in sustainability. Not only internally but also externally, not just driven by our own passion for sustainability but our customer set was driving us toward that. We have completed Phase 1 and 2 of our program and our driving results through Phase 3 as well”
